Overview:

Orange Corners is a program initiated by the Kingdom of The Netherlands, aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs in Africa and the Middle East. The program offers these entrepreneurs training, mentorship, funding, network and facilities necessary to launch and expand their businesses. The program focuses on supporting entrepreneurs who are developing innovative and sustainable solutions to local problems, and who contribute to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We collaborate with different stakeholders, such as local, Dutch and international companies, universities, governments, and organizations, to provide the best possible support and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem by leveraging their local expertise.

Requirements

In order to meet the selection criteria you must be:


Be an aspiring entrepreneurs from Lagos, Nigeria
Be between 18-35 years old

Have a validated innovative business concept, not more than 2 years old

The product or service responds to a local challenge in Nigeria

The product or service relates to the Sustainable Development Goals

Budding entrepreneurs will be selected based on the:

Innovativeness

Feasibility

Social Impact

Clarity of Market

Sustainability & Scalability of the business idea “Competence of the entrepreneur/team

Benefits

The program will be available both in-person and online to accommodate the impact of the pandemic. In addition to providing fundamental knowledge, tools, and resources to turn ideas into successful businesses, the program also offers networks and support for long-term growth.


There are numerous advantages to participating in the program, including enterprise management training, business incubation and advisory services, and funding for prototype development and testing. The program is fully funded by scholarships from the government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and private partners, and there are no participation fees.
